Forever Young

Contact: Kathy Riley

Forever Young offers opportunities for our parishioners 55 and older, single or married, to further serve and explore what God has given us: The physical world around us, the world of our body, mind and spirit and the world of community service, friendship, adventure, curiosity and fun.

How to Participate:

Forever Young hosts monthly meetings on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Most meetings have a theme—many have guest speakers. Topics are listed in the bulletin.

Forever Young subgroups include:

  • Book Club:  This group meets on the fourth Friday of each month in the Parish Center to discuss books on a wide range of interests decided by the group.
  • Crocheting and Knitting Group:  meets on the fourth Thursday of the month in the Parish Library to make prayer shawls and lap robes for the sick and the elderly.
  • Scrabble Group:  meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the home of one of the members.
  • Let’s-Eat-Out (LEO) Group:   break bread monthly at a local restaurant.
  • Golf Group:  play golf throughout the Spring and Summer at the Braeburn Golf Course on the last Friday of each month.
  • Other activities organized by the Forever Young group. Examples include museum visits, plays, and trips to local places of interest.
