I would like to introduce myself in a way that helps you feel confident about working with me.
I have the degrees and credentials required of psychotherapists in the state of Washington, but it will be my personality, my professional talents, and my ability to help you feel comfortable in a clinical setting that you will encounter when we meet.
I read once that "to listen another's soul into a condition of disclosure and discovery may be almost the greatest service any human being ever performs for another."
This is sacred work and I feel blessed every time an individual places trust in my ability to walk with them for a time on their life's journey. I also know that to walk with someone through their darkest place, I must make sure I have walked and continue to walk through my own.
My compassion runs deep for all who suffer and struggle with the difficulties and challenges of everyday life. I try to create a free and fearless space for people to be their authentic selves and work towards wholeness and healing. Building strong therapeutic relationships and using sound therapeutic techniques allows me to provide an environment where individuals feel empowered to unearth their deepest strengths in order to heal their deepest wounds.
My native tendency to problem solving is analytical. Life experiences have softened and expanded my approach to create balance.
My years as an engineer prior to becoming a therapist influence how I interact with my clients. I have a unique style. I am direct, yet compassionate, analytical yet intuitive, incredibly thorough and detail oriented but present. I see the big picture but have the ability to break things down into smaller more manageable steps which provides comfort to my clients when they are often feeling overwhelmed.
In the monastic tradition, the highest form of sanctity is to live in Hell and not lose hope. I would be honored be the one to help you live in that hope.
