February 27, 2020"Virtual Retreat: Theology of the Body & Women of the Bible"
Retreat fee: $50 per person
In addition to learning some fundamentals of John Paul II's life-changing "Theology of the Body," we will focus on how it relates to women in particular.
+ How are women made in the image of God? How do women reflect God's love?
+ What are women's specific gifts ("the feminine genius")? What's great about being a woman?
+ How can we fully embrace and rejoice in our womanhood? What are women's specific struggles and crosses?
+ Does the Bible/Catholic Church oppress women? What does feminism get wrong/get right?
+ How can women of the Bible (and female saints) be role models for us?
+ We will tackle the meaning of some "difficult" Bible passages, e.g.: What does "wives be submissive to your husbands" really mean?
