Pope Francis has called the church to engage in a long period of listening to the Holy Spirit and to one another with the purpose of seeking renewal in the church. This process is called the Synod on Synodality. It is a multi-stage, two year process that began in 2021 and will conclude in 2024.
Our local church has thus far engaged in the process on a parish level at St. Louise, on the Archdiocesan level for the Archdiocese of Seattle and on a national level through a synthesis of results from around the US the USCCB. You can read the results of all three reports below.
The next phase of the Synod will include the universal phase in which there will be a gathering of the Bishops in October 2023 and 2024.

On February 18th from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., we’ll meet in the Parish Hall to continue our Synodal Journey. Using what we learned last year and input from planning done this year, we will again listen and then discuss ways we are hearing the Holy Spirit ask us to move forward as a parish and address our needs and those of our local community. You do not have had to attended one of the listening sessions to participate in this event. Simply read the St. Louise Synod Report and you will be well prepared to continue with other parishioners.
Registration is required, please see registration information below. Light refreshments will be served.
The work done will aid in our annual planning for programs offered through the parish this coming year. This is a great time to get to know how best to support our call to pass on our faith and be true disciples of Jesus.
